Vice premier: China encourages fair competition among enterprisesThe second BRICS International Competition Conference was held in Beijing on September 21. At the opening ceremony, Chinese Vice Premier Wang Qishan stressed that BRICS conturies should closely to boost cooperation with other countries as well as international organizations in terms of enforcing competition law. Enterprises competing fairly in China were encouraged while those be-having unfairly would be punished, he added. In a bid to create a legal environment in favor of competition, with legislation of laws governing unfair competition, protecting consumer rights and interests and IPR, China has basically cleared obstacles and established the legal system regulating a full range of enforcing law. Starting from October 2010, China has achieved palpable results in a nationwide campaign on combating IPR violations and on the production and distribution of fake and shoddy products. |
